A newly established company based in Damascus – Syria is seeking qualified male/ female candidates to fill the position of HR ASSISTANT
Job Description: 1) Maintain the integrity of personnel files, documents, and database. 2) Prepare drafts of vacancies’ advertisement and submit them to head of HR/Attraction & Selection Unit for review and approval. 3) Write job descriptions or review and edit job descriptions written by others and identify core competencies required for the position. 4) Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria using HR Database, Networking, Media, Employment Agencies and Employee Referrals, liaise with local and overseas recruitment agencies and manage recruitment from external and internal sources, develop and maintain contacts with universities, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants. 5) Receive Leave Request Forms and update HRIS with all necessary information. 6) Update HR/Attraction & Selection Database with HR and Technical interviews’ assessment results for successful and unsuccessful candidates on regular bases. 7) Prepare employment contracts for new employees and follow up renewals. 8) Prepare end of service documents and update HR system of the resigned or terminated cases and prepare all documents related to departing employees (i.e. Employee Resignation Letter, Employee Clearance Form, etc.). 9) Collect and screen received applications/CVs, rate them against selection criteria, and prepare a shortlist of potential applications for interview with Head of HR Department and Executive Manager for technical interview in a timely manner. 10) Contact applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, selection, and results once the selection has been made and arrange English and computer tests for preliminary accepted applicants. 11) Check references for candidates prior completing the hiring process and prepare Employment Offer (Letter of Intent) for accepted candidates and submitted it to HR Manager to be reviewed and approved. 12) Create and follow up business correspondences to source the best HR solutions programs. 13) Participate in career days and job fairs when requested. 14) Perform related duties as required by line manager.
Qualifications Required: 1. Bachelor’s Degree 2. 1-2 years experience in a relevant field. 3. Fluent in English and Arabic languages. 4. Excellent computer skills. 5. Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills 6. Speed writing and keyboarding skills (50 W/Min) 7. Demonstrated ability to develop written reports and action plans 8. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. 9. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. 10. Ability to perform clerical duties such as filing, duplicating, and typing. 11. Ability to work within specified time constraints 12. Ability to work independently or as a team player
